Our rights as motorcyclists are constantly being challenged at an alarming rate, so every motorcycle enthusiast should, at the very least, belong to a Motorcycle Rights Organization (MRO) of their choice. Following is a list of MRO's that you can join. Visit their websites for more information.

Est. 1985 - "to act as an advocate before national, state, and local legislative, executive, and judicial bodies and with private or public entities regarding issues affecting motorcycles, motorcyclists, or motorcycling."
"A nationwide legal services program with affiliated law offices in every state and Canadian Province to serve the legal needs of the motorcycling community. A.I.M., is dedicated toward informing all motorcyclists of their legal rights and help protect and enforce those rights."
American Motorcycle Association
Est. 1924 "the AMA has protected the future of motorcycling and promoted the motorcycle lifestyle."
Est. 2007 - "The US Defenders is a grass roots movement of manpower, “citizen biker manpower”, that can provide an efficient way to organize and rally a rapid response on “Call-to-Actions” when needed on legislative issues that are of concern to all motorcyclists and to assist local communities in times of natural disasters when called upon to do so."
National Coalition of Motorcyclists
Est. 1986 - " The goal and purpose of NCOM is to assist all motorcycle organizations and individual riders with legal, legislative and other motorcycling issues."

Coalition of Independent Riders
"Mission: Collect and share information on motorcyclist’s rights and defending our constitutionally protected civil liberties; help educate motorcyclists in grass roots strategies such as letter writing to legislators and working with motorcycle rights organizations; promoting motorcycle Safety & Awareness; support local communities by assisting in post emergency situations like tornado and flood damage when called upon by civil authorities."

Est. 1995 -"helping bikers, nationwide, understand the legal aspects of helmet laws and how they could be successfully attacked in the courts"
"How to build a biker-friendly legislature: We are a network of Campaign Volunteers. Bikers subscribe to our Legislative Alert system, and we notify them of important nearby races."
